Has the “Finish” button been taken away from the Reading Plan view?
I just did a couple of Reading Plan readings on the L10 on my 9th Generation iPad and the blue “finish” button isn’t there any more. If this is deliberate, I am afraid I think this is a retrograde step. Also, if I tap on the screen, instead of switching between full screen and Reading mode, I get a menu up with a lot of Facebook information and can only return to reading mode by dragging down on the bar at the top.

It also seems to have lost the estimated reading time on the left-hand side.

It’s still there. Tap the top edge of your iPad and the toolbar and bottom status bars shoe up where you“lol see the Finish button. You can also flick to scroll q to bring them up.

This is not expected behavior. We have a case created for this. I will let you know when we have a fix. Thank you for your patience!
Currently, a workaround is to click "Overview" in the top left corner to go back to the list of Reading Sessions and click on the open circle next to the reading session you would like to mark as "Finished".

You are seeing the new selection menu pop up when you tap on the screen. The new selection menu shows up when you single-tap (select a verse) or double-tap/long-press (select a word). If you would like to bring the top and bottom toolbars back into visibility, you can tap the top minimized bar or "flick" your finger on the screen (one quick scroll).

Marking it finished from the Overview section doesn't help if you have a reading plan that has multiple sections (like OT, NT, Psalms readings) that take you across multiple readings for the same day.
What I found as a workaround (not great, but works) is to go to the layout view, add a tile (split view) and drag it down as far as possible. It will take up 1/4th of the screen, but at least you can get to the Next/Finish button and get the % complete indication.

thanks Kevin - I had tried that but it didn’t work. The only way I can mark a reading as completed on my iPad is to go to Overview. It’s working fine on my iPhone.

I’ve also tried deleting the app, shutting down and restarting the iPad, and restarting the app, but it still doesn’t work. When I try scrolling the reading bar appears momentarily at the bottom of the screen then disappears again. I don’t normally have a scrolling view for Reading Plans as I like to be able to see the footnotes. The button isn’t readily available either in page-turning or scrolling mode.

Thanks — interesting workaround

Hi,
Does anyone have any update on this issue? Since I updated to Logos 10 on my iPad and iPhone, the "Next" button on my multi-passage daily Bible reading plan is now obscured by the bottom taskbar and I can no longer use that view anymore. I've sent in a support ticket but haven't gotten any reply.
Thanks,
Daniel

The “finish” button has been fixed for me but the ”next” button is still hidden at the bottom of the screen under the other menu. I’m using an iPhone SE 3rd gen, the if that helps.

Hi Luke,
I am sorry to hear that you have been struggling with this.
We have been getting reports from other users that the "next" button now works for them. We are going to investigate further, to see why it still not working for you.
I am sending you an email.

This has been fixed on iPhones in the 10.0.3 10522 update. This update is available in Biblia and Verbum right now and should be available on the Logos app shortly. We are waiting for approval from the App Store.
