To purchase the Logos 10 Full Feature Set Upgrade or not?

I own L 9 Ultimate. I can save about $1,000 by upgrading to L 10 Collectors instead of L 10 Ultimate. I think the savings is mostly in Verbum 10 Ultimate resources. What else might be in L 10 Ultimate besides L 10 Collectors and Verbum 10 Ultimate?

I subscribe to Faithlife Connect Essentials - No library. I own the Logos 9 Full Feature Set. I can save another $131 by not purchasing and owning the Logos 10 Full Feature Set Upgrade, as that is available for free use as part of my Connect subscription. What is the downside of not purchasing the L 10 Feature Set Upgrade? Does any part of it carry over to the next upgrade (L 11)? What part of it carried over from L 9 to L 10? If it is mostly disposable from release to release, it doesn't make much sense to purchase it. Am I understanding this correctly?

It just keeps adding up. I skipped L9 but the Verbum Academic Pro was so good, the L10's came with it. So, I figured to catch up. Then I noticed Logos had some more! Done.

I'm finding that in addition to Verbum 10 Ultimate, there's a bunch of denominational Portfolio resources that are skewing the price of L 10 Ultimate.

All of the Denominational base package resources that are not in either the Standard Collectors edition nor the Verbum Ultimate package.

You loose those Features when you decide to stop paying rent on them.

Buy the Feature set and they are yours. You wont loose them.

Depending on your Connect Essentials yearly fee, to buy them would actually be cheaper if Logos stays on a 2 year cycle. You would have paid two years "rent" on the features by the time L11 comes out and that is (i'm sure) more that the $131.00 you have to pay to buy them out right.

I always buy the features for two reasons (and I am a connect subscriber):

1) It is cheaper if you buy them each upgrade cycle rather then waiting and buy several upgrades at once.

2) It gives me the freedom to drop connect at anytime without worrying about a loss of features

This is also the reason that I bought a feature set (although I decided that the Silver Feature set gave me enough)

I dumped Connect last year and moved to the L9 FFS since I really needed to scale back on my services. I even dumped my Perks membership.

I’d recommend getting the L10 FFS so if you do decide to get off of the Connect bus, you’ll already own the features and not have to rush out and buy it when it’s not on sale.
