Bug? Tabs no longer shrink to fit

Formerly, tabs in a panel would shrink or expand as they were added and deleted. It seems that fewer tabs are now needed to exceed the panel width resulting in the little extension arrow. Is it my imagination or did something change?

The tabs work similar to L9 except that L10 always shows the close X. With the same number of tabs (5) L10 shows the extension arrow when L9 does not, but it takes the same maximum number of tabs (8) whilst suddenly shrinking one tab to its icon and the extension arrow disappears!   This is on side-by-side installations of Verbum and Logos with the same 100% scaling.

I agree that the constant appearance of that little extension arrow is most annoying, and it always overlaps with the last tab's X and the New Tab's + sign.

    This should be fixed ASAP.
