Function of prayer list display on Samsung Note 20 phone and S7 tablet

On my phone and tablet the dashboard display of my prayer card order can be customized. However, when a card is selected, the prayer requests under that category are displayed and navigation is made back out of that card by selecting the back arrow on the top left, the navigation does not display cards again but instead an alphabetical list of categories that match those of the cards. The order of this list can not be customized. In oder to see the customized order of cards again navigation to the dashboard is necessary by selecting the home icon in the bottom left. What is the usefulness of this functionality. Wouldn't it be more user friendly to return users to the dashboard screen they navigated from rather than a list in a different order?
