Sell Logos 10 features to me

Hey folks. I'm mainly a preaching and teaching pastor at my church. 

I'm in a good place in terms of commentaries. Generally have a dozen or so I reference. I'm interested in if any features will be worth the money for usefulness in sermon prep. Also, I use MS Word + powerpoint for sermons, haven't found a compelling reason to use Logos' sermon tools (though my mind can be changed!)

Besides commentaries, I currently have:

• Logos 8 Full Feature Upgrade
• Logos 9 Silver Feature Upgrade.

Will Logos 10 Features be frequently useful, or just lots of stuff that don't add broad application for sermon prep?

The answer to that is very much individualized.

The church got along fine for two thousand years without Logos. So I don't think anyone can say you *need* it. It is more a matter of wanting it and then investing in it. If you take the time to use Logos features and spend some money on resources, I would say that it will absolutely be frequently useful. If you spend the money on a bunch of resources but don't learn to use it, you'll have severe buyer's remorse and a significant amount of guilt (felt, at least). And if you spend some time (and money!) on learning to use it but don't have the necessary resources, you'll be frustrated with it.

As for L10 features, I think the Print Library tool is a very useful addition for those who still have significant hard copy books. In addition, the Factbook Tags feature opens up a bunch of stuff that was badly needed (and highly requested) in terms of connecting some important dots in study. For pastors who have a large sermon library, I suspect the bulk sermon upload will be very helpful to many of them.

If you are hesitant but want to try it, I recommend you start with the full feature set, which is less than $200 as best I can tell. It'll give you the new features without investing a ton in resources. But the bottom line is, you have to decided if you want to/can put in the time and money to make it a useful tool for your ministry.
