This would combine some aspects of Notes with some aspects of Clippings.
Background:
I'm often reading through a book (biblical, commentary or other text) and using various highlights as part of my studies. Highlighting automatically produces a note, which will go into a notebook I've set up for that essay. When I come to write an essay, I can see all my highlights in that notebook. What I'd like to do is see all my highlights in one particular category. As an example, I have highlights on deutero-Isaiah for God's Permanence, God's Power, God as the Only God, etc. The only way I can see just the highlights for God's Permanence is if I put that also as a tag, since the Notes filter doesn't work on individual highlight styles.
(The other option would be to create Clippings files, but this would require a separate file for each style, and doesn't use highlights, which I find useful sometimes when re-reading the text.)
Suggestion:
The suggestion, then, is for the Note to be tagged automatically with the highlight style, in a similar way to that in which clippings are automatically tagged with the Scriptural passage.
(Admittedly, this is partly because I'm not very good at tagging things as I go along.)
