L10 is a great upgrade but needs to fix some details to work comfortably

When you tap “word study” it send you to a new window instead of opening itself in the same screen, and if you add manually a “word study” tab in the same screen and tap on the word your looking for it wont work, it will open a new window. So please help us fixing it.

thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I noticed the same behavior for all of our guides so this makes me think its by design. May I ask what disruption this is causing in your work flow?

    Thanks Matt.

when I’m studying I want to keep an eye on all my tools at same time, this is really helpful when I’m meditating on the meaning of the text. but when I’m jumping here and there is really difficult to be focus cause I have to be going trough different screens to study a word and then switch again to write on the screen where I have my other tools.

if you take a look you’ll find that the web version is better, you can have several tabs on splitview, everything in the same screen. I would be great and incredible if logos upgrades this things on iPadOS to study comfortably.

When you tap “word study” it send you to a new window instead of opening itself in the same screen

You can add these all onto the same tile group (same screen) by doing the following (for example):

    1. Open the ESV
    2. Double-click on the word you want to do the BWS with
    3. Click Bible Word Study. It will open in a new tab (as your described)
    4. Go back to the ESV
    5. Click the layouts icon in the bottom right corner of the main navigation toolbar on the bottom (second from the right)
    6. Choose your desired multi-tile layout
    7. Click the plus sign to add a resource into that empty tile
    8. Click the Star icon at the top bar to access your "Open Tabs"
    9. Select the BWS open tab that you would like to add to that tile group.

This will allow you to have everything you want on one screen. It may seem like a lot of steps, but it actually only took me about 3 seconds to do. I hope this helps you focus and meditate on the Word deeper. Please let me know if there are other snags you're running into.

Thank you for giving us more explanation with your answer to Matt's question. It's always helpful for us to understand our customer's "why"!

    Thanks Ali

    the steps are really useful.

The good thing is that by doing it this way I can have all the tabs in the same place.

but the annoying thing about the process is that I have to keep repeating it over and over again.  when I do a new BWS it will always take me to a new window and then I have to scroll back to my multi-tile screen.

It would be great to have multiple tabs in each tile just like the web version all on the same screen. this way every time we do a BWS it will open itself onto the same tile group without needing to go to a different window.

I believe that these observations will be useful to make the appropriate improvements for the benefit of all of us who only use tablets devices.
