Question about opening tabs

When I open a book or anything from the dashboard the tab it opens only consumes about half the available area of the main app canvas. Is there anyway to have it use the entire space, particularly if it is going to be the only tab opened? Secondly, is there a button somewhere on the tab or tab group that will cause them to expand to full size?

    No, and no.  But indeed needed.  I'd like a double-click temporary pop-out and back.  But that's me; I think Libby had that.

    But I solve it, by dragging the resource from the library to the workspace (and if already tabbed, dragging the tab).

    You can also open the layouts panel in the application toolbar and click the layout preset at the top that is just a single rectangle (the first one in the top left).

    You can even drag that to your shortcuts so you can get to it more easily. You can even drag it to your Quick Links in the Favorites tool so that you can use it with a shortcut key.
