Citation doesn't paste in Google Doc
When copying text from a resource and pasting it into a Google Doc, the text will paste, but the citation will not. The same text will successfully carry a citation into a Microsoft Word document. Any suggestions?

welcome to the forum. Sorry, that in the flood of new release posts you got no answer. I hope this bump will help.

I'm bumping this up because I'm running into the same issue and don't want to install a different word processor. I took a break between Logos 7 (or maybe right when Logos 8 came out) and then jumped back on when I enrolled in seminary, upgrading to Logos 10. In the years I was away, I switched to using Google Workspace for everything. So, I no longer have Microsoft Word, which used to work (and from what I'm reading, still does). One of the major convenience features for seminary students (and anyone writing an academic paper) is auto citations. It not working is very much inconvenient. I read on another thread from (maybe?) 2021 that it may be due to an issue with Chrome and Safari on MacOS. Someone mentioned that a workaround is to use Firefox. Does anyone know if this is true?
It's relatively inconvenient given that Google Docs has overtaken Microsoft Word regarding productivity apps market share by about a 30% margin. Almost all my fellow students also use Google Docs, except for a small handful.
Any guidance would be great.

I have verified these figures and agree that Logos should support Google doc consistently not just for footnotes. I have tried to expand this request Integration with Google Drive | Logos to include everything rather than making a separate item to vote on. Please vote if you support Google docs integration.

I just tested Google Docs in Firefox. It does include the citation but not as a footnote like Word does.

Yah, I read elsewhere that a recent Firefox update apparently killed it from working. I get that it works in office. When I first started using Logos around version 5, I only used office. For the last 5-6 years I’ve exclusively used Docs.
I recorded a youtube video on the workflow in docs for my fellow seminary students last night. With shortcuts, tbh, it only takes an extra 2-3 seconds given it copies the citation right below properly formatted. if interested, here:
shortcuts would change slightly on a windows laptop.
windows shortcuts would be:
Ctrl + X to cut
Ctrl + Alt + f to create footnote
Ctrl + V to paste footnote.
i didn’t bother with the text sizing (figured Ppl could figure that out themselves, was just showing how to work around in this in docs while only taking an extra 2 seconds)
