Why in the world is there no official supported method of installing and maintaining resource libraries for Logos on an external drive?

thanks

(in Windows specifically, but the general principle applies to MacOS)

    • Because of the unreliability of the connection  e.g. you could reconnect drive D: and it becomes drive E: unless you know how to apply a permanent drive letter  (Windows 8 was known for "losing" the drive irrespective of this).
    • The drive format could be exFAT or FAT32 when it must be formatted NTSF.
    • The connection e.g. USB 2 could degrade performance.
    • Flash drives (e.g. those in smart phones) are not designed for random disk access and will be SLOOOW.

It is manageable on Windows 10/11 if you know what you are doing and are prepared to take the risk. e.g. an SSD drive thru a USB 3 or faster connection with an assigned drive letter, formatted as NTSF (you need a MAC user to comment on this aspect).
