macOS Beta 4 "Preparing your library" hanging

Hello,

Ever since updating to beta 4, I've been having major issues getting Logos to open. When I launch the app, it hangs on the "Preparing your library" splash screen for a long time. This morning was is over 13 minutes trying to open before it crashed. Sometimes it has the spinning beachball while trying, other times it doesn't. Most of the time it eventually opens, but I leave it working in the background and it opens when it wants to.

I'm on a 2019 16" Macbook Pro (i9 Intel model) running macOS Ventura 13.0.1. Here's the macOS generated crash report from this morning.

EDIT: The only way I am able to successfully get the app to open to to turn off my wifi on my laptop. Then it starts up quickly and reliably. I tested on both my local wifi and my phone hotspot. Neither would open.

Hi Bobby,

The crash reports that are helpful are the Logos generated ones. See my signature line for how to enable logging and collect logs. Then post those logs to this thread, not the macOS ones.

I'm really hoping someone official is aware of this. It's making Logos unusable and I actually want to get back to a stable release. I can only get the application up if I turn off wifi completely. Can't even get in when I start in "Work Offline" mode. Wifi has to completely turned off to get into the program.

web services are consistently timing out ... any change to your firewalls? passwords?

Hmm. I updated Covenant Eyes to the latest version recently (3.9.0). Maybe it's blocking them? Is there a URL I can whitelist to keep it from blocking those?

I may have fixed it. I poked through the logs and found every url I could find and whitelisted them all in Covenant Eyes (see screenshot). After refreshing Covenant Eyes and restarting my computer, Logos started up right away without issue. The one that seemed to be the last one that made the difference was the api.raygun.io. I'm not sure what that is, but it worked! Cool!
