batch change ratings and filter by recent purchases

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a command or method to conduct the below tasks:

1) If I purchase several books at once can I quickly pull them up as one batch in the library?

2) If I can pull them up can I batch change the properties (e.g. ratings) for them?

Some people will given everything in their library a one star rating so that new purchases will show up as zero stars. Then you can type "rating:0" in the Library window/pane and then click the first one, hold down the shift key and click the last one. Then you will be able to add a tag (perhaps the purchase date) and star ratings to each of the new resources.
