[Fixed] Logos 10 Lags with Notes, Sermon Editor, and General Typing
I just bought a new laptop primarily to use Logos and take class notes. Unfortunately, I immediately noticed that Logos was lagging like crazy. This was especially noticeable any time I was typing (e.g., notes, sermon editor, search, etc.). Input lag was anywhere from 5-10 seconds. Oddly, I was not experiencing this issue on my desktop, nor was it an issue on my old laptop.
After searching through these forums, I got a hunch as to what the problem might be. Firstly, I suspected that the lag was caused by the newer processor in my laptop, since this was not an issue with my other computers (the new laptop has an 11th gen i7, the old laptop had a 10th gen i7, and the desktop has a Ryzen 3900x). Doing some experimenting, I discovered that the lag was somewhat less when I would lower my display resolution (from native 4k to 1080p). This leads me to suspect there's some kind of issue with Logos and newer 11th gen intel processors (probably more so with the Iris Xe graphics on them).
The solution I found was to go into program settings and switch "Hardware Acceleration" to "On." I'm honestly not sure why it was set to "off" on my PC to begin with, but this has completely solved the problem for me.
I've seen similar issues posted elsewhere, so wanted to share my own experience. I hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

Thank you for posting this! Mine was off by default as well, and when I turned it on, it definitely helped.
Thanks.

Oh my. I was looking for this solution!!! This definitely helped. They need to post this somewhere where it is easier to find. I'm not sure if there is a common problem troubleshooting page... but this should definitely be on there.
Thanks CODY!

common problem troubleshooting page
You should be able to get to it via the Help Center - its new and they are still working on content but it is worth getting in the habit of using.Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
