New Highlight doesn't leave Jesus' words red

I created a new Highlight style that changes the font type and adds three underlines. Plus it adds an image to the beginning of the line. I use it to highlight Jesus' commandments. However, I like Jesus' words in red. But I can't make the highlight to leave the words red. They color them black. Can someone help me with this?  I even tried using red under Font Styling. The words are still black.

No need to answer my question. I figured it out. It's because I had a query running which displays the results in black. When I delete the search the highlighted words turn red. Problem solved.
