Questions as I begin using the notes feature
Good morning.
I have watched a number of videos to familiarize myself with the notes feature of Logos 10. I'm on Windows for my main machine (if that matters). I have a fairly good understanding of HOW the notes work in Logos and I like them.
However...
I do have a couple of concerns and was wondering if I could get some feedback from you experienced folks.
1. RELIABILITY - Can I count on the notes of Logos? Meaning, if I use them as my main repository, can I count on them to be there for me in perpetuity? Is there a likelihood that Logos may change the notes feature one day and I'll have to choose between upgrading or losing my notes?
2. ALTERNATIVES - If #1 is a problem, what are some of you using as your main note-keeping software?
I appreciate any help and feedback. Be blessed.

This is a great question.
I made the decision some time ago (years) to use Logos as my note taking app - for me the benefit of having notes integrated with the rest of the system outweighs the risk of them disappearing at some point. I know others have taken different decisions.
I fully expect Notes to continue to be a key part of Logos moving forward but the way they are held, the functionality provided, may change. The latest significant change was with the introduction of a new Notes Tool in Logos 8. Designed to be much more scalable but it did result in some features of the previous Notes engine not being moved across to the new one.
We didn't need to switch immediately - and it was possible to toggle between the different notes engines for a time - but it was a switch that most (if not all) users eventually made. This did involve an update to the software but it was available for free for those who didn't want to purchase additional features.
There is an FAQ document regarding this at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016616512-Notes-FAQ and, towards the end of that document, it shows the features that were not included in the new tool.
For me the loss of Notes Titles was the most disappointing.
So its worth thinking about whether there are particular features that you would rely on and recognising that they might not continue in the event of another signifcant change.
But it's also worth recognising that similar concerns might apply to any note taking product.
