Installed Beta 5 and opened a layout containing a couples of Bibles and a Note File. Right-clicked on a link in one of the Notes and selected Open Link. B5 immediately crashed.

Your Console Messages log is missing; without that, it's very difficult to diagnose a crash.
I could not repeat the crash. However, none of the links would open, and the Console did not generate any messages. Also, I noticed that all of the Scripture links are inactive.
