Visual Filter for verse number

There was an old post back in Logos 4 I found, but nothing else.

Is it possible to apply a visual filter to the verse numbers? I would like to put a box around them as a middle of the road approach to one-verse-per-line or paragraph formatting.

It isn't possible to search for verse numbers, but you can box them via manual highlighting.

The other approach would be to create a Personal Book and be creative with the format for verse numbers.

I tried searching for numbers or anything (*) in the search field 'Verse Number' in All Bibles. Why isn't this working?

Similarly, I tried searching for numbers or anything in the search field 'Surface Text' in e.g. the NIV. Didn't work either. Why?

I appreciate the confirmation that it isn't possible, but I am more interested in the technical reason for it.

After creating a new visual filter, you can set the search parameters to: Search Verse Numbers in All Passages in All Bibles:

To me, this means there are at least some Bibles that have search fields for Verse Numbers, in which case it should be possible to apply the visual filter to those Bibles.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify which Bibles have search fields for Verse Numbers. I've checked some of the most popular ones (NIV, ESV, KJV, NKJV, NASB, GNT, but they all lack this particular search field. But again, there should be some, for which it should be possible.

    Am I overlooking something?

You could try running a search on All Bibles and specify a number at random

Try  this query: verseNum:1 OR verseNum:i OR versenum:2

You will see that it is poorly implemented in a few bibles. I tried i (or I) in case some bibles use letters.
