Missing Content in Study Bible

I purchased this study bible today in the Cyber Monday sale and I noticed two issues:

1) The Table of Contents lists a harmony of the gospels section but that chart or area isn’t in the resource itself.

2) There is a section for maps in this study bible but when you click on it, it takes you to a completely new resource that you have to purchase whereas I would think they would be included.

You probably were hookwinked into reading the product information:

"The Nelson study system is comprehensive as well as inviting. Includes in-text maps and charts. (ISBN: 0-7852-1292-2)"

I don't have the book (resource), but 'in-text' vs a 'section'. Does that get them off the hook?

The Subject Index of Annotations and Features: under Gospel, lists two charts only one of which appears in the resource. As you point out the "Harmony of the Gospels" has been left out of the text. "The Spread of the Gospel" on the other hand is included. Good catch Matillo!

FL, please look into this matter and report to this thread your position.

As Denise aptly indicates the maps are included "in the text." I'm not seeing where one is diverted to a separate resource here.

It links to Nelson's Bible Map Collection, which I also own.

I couldn't find any sample pages of the Study Bible with the maps that should be included, but there's a sample page with the TOC on Amazon.

These are therefor not the "in-text maps". The wording "includes in-text maps" is confusing. Does it imply "does not include color maps"?

Whether the Map Collection is indeed a collection of the maps from the Study Bible I can't tell. Anyway, there's no "Map Index", neither in the Study Bible nor in the Map Collection.

The Map Collection itself is just a collection of scans of some maps in 1990s quality standard. If the publisher can provide fully digital versions of those maps, maybe it'd be worthwhile updating that resource too.

I don't think it's a big issue. The study bible has an index of the in-text maps - see to the right. There must be about 65-70 of them - yes, black and white and low resolution, from the last century. The map resource linked from the study bible is shown on the left, the map index probably the ToC of the altogether 9 maps (somewhat colored, but still low resolution from the last century). Most of those show the same as one of the in-text maps, just a little bit larger and a little bit more colored. I think those 9 maps are nothing to loose sleep over.

Thanks for the education! While we're on the Nelson's product line, may offer a low cost alternative to the recommendation from Logos. The maps are nothing to move you, but the other content is worth a look for the price.

I somewhat agree. Not the biggest issue ever but I did notice the map in your screenshot isn't included in the study bible in-text maps so there is additional content there. The biggest issue for me is that there are items listed as being there but aren't with no notation on the product page. I am hoping that is was by accident but my guess is that it was on purpose and no one noticed.
