I just found my 1996 hard disk for Logos Bible Software 2.1 Catholic Collection ... but it was loose not in an envelope with id. Can I recover the id from the disk and regain access to some resources that are no longer available for purchase?
Wow - Do you have any idea what resources are included?
I would think [hope] that having the disc would be enough to get those resources unlocked.

Most notably the New Jerome Commentary.
I think the redemption code was unique and not recoverable from the disk.
Try the scan command on the resources if you can transfer them to a modern removable drive or have a floppy disk drive connected to your computer.
At this point I think it's simply the Jerome Commentary [:P]
floppy disk drive
Hey, this isn't a floppy -- they are bigger and they flop ... I've found several floppies, but I don't think any of them are Logos. But I do have some more modern pre-L4 cd's
It's the Jerome Biblical Commentary (1968 Fr. Raymond Brown edition). You probably still havre a license to it if you ever did. If you want, message me (how I don't know lol pls advise), and I can send you a link to the file - then you can SCAN it - if you had a license to it, it will work!

I don't think this is true. I know that she does have a license to it, but the real question is does her current FL account have the license. If she does, then she wouldnt need to be getting the file from you... it should download from FL.

If you can find a way to install this and produce a LOGOS.LSB backup file, Customer Service can restore it to your account.
You would obviously need the hardware (3.5" floppy disk drive) as well as an OS that can run the installer. It will be a 16-bit program, which I think no longer runs under 64-bit Windows. You could try a 32-bit version of Windows if you have access to one, or try 32-bit WINE on a Linux system.

If you are missing resources from those, https://www.logos.com/redeem might possibly work for the serial number on the sleeve.
Regarding the Logos 2.x things I seem to remember that they simply had no such code. IIRC, back in the day there was an import routine to get those into a running installation of Libronix (Logos 3) which then uploaded the license to the Logos servers which would provide for the automatic download to Logos 4+ - this probably won't work today since the license servers don't support data exchange with Logos versions lower than some version of 9, so to get the real old stuff into Logos 10, Customer Service may be your only chance.

Actually I wrote that, because I thought I remembered 10-12 years ago that for some licensing reason Logos could no longer offer JBC and I wondered if they don't have it on their servers any more. I am pretty sure when I move Logos to a new computer, I only get JBC back in my library by doing a SCAN of my old resources folder. I could be wrong though.
