OT: England/Wales Census Data 2021 and Religion

Just for convenience, if you saw/see the headlines today on the released results.

When I saw the headline, I immediately imagined non-Christian religions were the dastardly problem. Or immigration (well, I read the news).  But not really.

More like, just losing interest.  The results so far don't narrow down by CoE vs various conservative groups.  And our England Logosians may have more insight.

Probably more people being honest that they have no religion.  That said even the "Christian" figure is far higher than those who actually "practice" their faith.

Church of England attendance is declining although my experience is that those who attend are serious about their faith. In years gone by people often attended Church of England services out of habit rather than faith necessarily. In general it's the historic denominations that are declining and the newer denominations are growing.
