Question on Visual Filter Efficiency

In BDAG I like to see NT from LXX references at a glance. I have a visual filter with the following

bible:Matthew-Revelation

bible:"Genesis-4 Maccabees"

It takes anywhere from 15-30 seconds for the filter to kick in. Would it be more efficient to list each book individually? Is there anything I can do to make it more efficient in general?

    It would not be more efficient, probably less so. I have a filter that highlights every Louw-Nida number, Strong's Hebrew no. and Strong's Greek no.

    e.g.Str AND strongs:G1–G5877   ---> the word "Str" + the Strong's number.

    From opening DBL Greek (or DBL Hebrew) to displaying the page with filters takes c. 3 seconds.

    How do you measure the time for the filter to kick in?

    I measured by doing it through the search panel. Since switching to the latest beta that timer seems to have disappeared so I just used a stop watch as soon as I hit enter.

    These are the two filters I'm running on BDAG. The first is for all lexicons and is the slower one. The second is for BDAG sources alone and runs instantly.

    I would tailor the first filter for the few lexicons you use regularly (1 per lexicon). So have one VF for BDAG.

    Restrict the wildcard term 1Q* OR 2Q* etc.  to the lexicon that matters as it takes time. In the Lexham Research Lexicon of the Hebrew Bible consider highlighting the phrase "Dead Sea Scrolls Study Edition".

    Watch what is selected in the panel menu for the VF.

    As your guide measure the time taken to open a lexicon.
