Repeatable Crash when loading layout

Yesterday, I was still able to load a layout. But today, loading the same layout causes Logos to crash. Any ideas what the problem might be?

I use the newest Logos Beta and macOS Monterey 12.6.1

I am not a full fledged techie and am not currently beta testing. However, for clarification: Is it only the one layout which causes the app to crash? Have you tried rebuilding it from scratch? (Sometimes layouts get corrupted and the fix is to just build a new one).

Is this similar? CRASHES while changing layouts
Is the crash consistent? I have not had any crashes since the last post in that thread.

It is connected with the Notes tool, but occurs some 20s after loading the layout. Start Logos and immediately press CMD key to get the Login window, and Login. Does Logos crash immediately after opening the layout? Try opening Notebooks from the Documents menu (or whatever is being opened in the layout). Upload fresh logs if necessary

This is correct. How did you determine this from the logs?
I managed to close some Notes tabs before Logos crashed and save the layout again. This took a few attempts but eventually Logos stopped crashing.

From the ERROR at the end of the Logos.log and/or the LogosCrash.txt file.

Unfortunately, closing all notes in the layout did not bring a permanent fix. Rather than rebuild my layout, I wonder if there is a way to delete the local Notes database and to re-download it from the servers. Is this possible?

Rename the folder /Users/eberlein/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/ql9dcp7b.59i/NotesToolManager, then restart Logos to re-download the Notes.

Thanks for the details above. Going to allocate some time today and work on getting a replicated state.

Armin -- how many notes tabs did you have open and what layout were you using? Was it a quickstart or home layout or a custom one?
I'm sort of just guessing and checking but if you can provide a screenshot and some info above it might help me track it down. As well as some replicated steps you took to get into a crash.
Thanks.

Hi Matt,
Many thanks for following up.
At the moment, my Logos is stable. A few months ago I had saved a "template" for my 3-monitor layout which matched about 80% of my crashing layout. After I switched to this layout, the crashing stopped and I even did not need to delete my local notes storage. This would have been my next step (see Dave's posting).
I tried to go back through my Layout history to find a crashing version of my 3-monitor layout. Unfortunately, the history let me go back only for about 1 week. So at the moment, I don't have a layout that allows me to get a repeatable crash.

But just to answer your questions:
1) I had maybe 8 Notes tabs open.
2) It was a custom layout that had 3 monitors and many resources open, incl. linked resources and guides.

Thanks for the information -- I'll give it a few more pass throughs on testing. If nothing conclusive on my end. We'll keep it open until yourself or another member experiences the crash.
