The Flashcard app quit synchronizing for me after upgrading to Logos 10.

I talked with  customer support this morning to learn that only minimal support is available for Flashcard app (1st be sure to use the latest version of the app. 2nd log in using your correct email). Also the Flashcard app is no longer maintained with updates. Trying to say this carefully because I love Logos but, it appears that the flashcard app is not compatible with Logos 10 Desktop for windows since is does not sync new wordlist with Flashcard app. This is something current Flashcard app users should be aware of before upgrading to 10.

It is sad to see Flashcard fading away like this; however, the desktop wordlist provides the words, glosses, and pronunciations. This coupled with the printable flashcards (106 pages for the 1056 words in Romans) still provides a powerful way to learn vocabulary. I am thankful for that although I prefer having the pronunciations with me while on the go. I hope the mobile Logos Bible Software app will pick up the slack left by Flashcard app’s fading out by syncing word list with pronunciations.

bumping in an attempt to get a response for posts without them.

I recently started the GK101 course and this morning attempted to add the vocabulary list to my flashcard app. I thought maybe the app needed updating but Google Play doesn't even have the app anymore. Now that I've read this post I understand the problem. Too bad. It's true the vocabulary list is available on the desktop, but I haven't figured out a way to switch the audio on it from Erasmian to Koine and was hoping to do it in the app.

In Logos 10 under the Tools Menu (the nine dots icon) is the Pronunciation tool. The Pronunciation tool has a drop-down box to set the pronunciation to “Greek Lemmas (Koine)”. I assume this also sets it for all pronunciations including those in the word list also.

The Flashcards app was a summer intern project many years ago so support has always  been minimal and from memory I read in a post that the Flashcards app won’t be upgraded any further. A shame they don’t make this more clear or better still upgrade the app but as the integration with the main software is great but there are much better Flashcards apps out there if you are willing to pay. At the end of the day i‘d rather them invest resources in their core app and leave the flash cards to those who are primarily focused on that as their core app.

And the free one, Anki, is sort of a standard in many fields.

The GK101 course activities text refers to using the Logos flashcard app. If the app is not going to be updated then this text needs to be revised.

We have now retired the Flashcard app, I'm sorry.

It's a little bit of work, but with some fiddling in Excel or Google Sheets, it's possible to export Word List data to other flashcard apps, including Anki.
