Is it so burdensome that I must waste my time?

I had a book or two in my cart with about three or four mobile ed courses. Now there is nothing in my cart and do nt remember what books and respurces I intended on buying. Is it so burdonsome that FaithLife cannot let things be because now if I want to order the same items-which I would have done instead of writing this.Why does Faithlife want to waste my time. Thanks for nothing. Thanks for wasting my time.

Always click “Save for later.” Unless you cleared your history, I don’t see how they may have disappeared. I’ve left items in my cart and before the day is over I get the email, “Did you forget something in your cart?”

I wonder if you can check your "history" on your web browser. That may show your activity for those cart purchases.

I would also suggest that perhaps use a more gentle tone when asking for help, rather than say things like 'thanks for nothing, thanks for wasting my time.'

you're far more likely to get an answer and maybe even an employee chime in from faith life than you ever would from google or apple, etc.

Another thought, if your browser is set to delete cookies on exiting the browser, that will clear out your cart - the data that points to your cart information is kept in your cookies, and clearing cookies on exit is a common browser setting for privacy purposes.

I can confirm from copious shopping experience that Faithlife's websites (which do not have shared carts) do not empty your Cart purely of their own accord.

Before getting here, I have already invested time and energy to figure whatever out.

Of course, you do not know me nor do you know what I have done and what has happened to me but I do tend to wear my feelings on my sleeve and that is something God has to handle.

In 2005, I asked God to take my anger issues away before I kill someone for something absolutely stupid. He did but it is coming back again and not sure why.

Wouldn't be 19 years with severe TBI, shrapnel in my brain, my prosthetic skull, the shrapnel in my brain?

Could it be I still have problems eating and putting on weight after having my cancerous esophagus removed and replaced by my stomach. I still at times end up regurgitating and puking what I just tried eating but I am learning. There are a few other issues I am not going to write about here that could factor into this...big issues. Life altering issues.

Please pray for me for the Lord to first show me the source of my anger and that he would take it away again. Coming back to all of this, we do not complain to God or wonder, "why me Lord?" I know why. My body has not yet been redeemed and susceptible to diseases or having my body damaged like when my skull was cracked among other things on 19 Nov 2004 in Tal Afar, Iraq. When you go to war, people die and get wounded. The whole live by the sword, die by the sword. I did not need to enlist or re-enlist. yes, I have anger issues but in sharing, I do not want anyone to have the perception that I complain about the things that happened to me. Point would be trying to find the source of my anger issues.

The other thing would me being blown away in how people view Faith Life is a ministry and it is not, it is a business. Don't get me wrong. After getting my prosthetic skull installed and able to see more clearly in my left eye, started buying from Logos in 2005. (Had shrapnel in my left eye). I had bought a laptop for a pastormin another country and asked if I could just throw the stuff I had alreadyn bought and was not given permission, had to buy a separate package with Logos...obviously not a ministry but a business. Sometimes the just puts a bad taste in my mouth...a poor attitude towards Faith Life. Thanks for the encouraging words and please pray for me for God to handle my own anger issues.

Rather I mean that when we on the forums know that there are extenuating circumstances, most of us are willing to give you extra leeway in how you express things. Sorry to hear all your are going through.

Sometimes when I put resources into my cart and go to pay, they are no longer there. This is usually because I already owned the resource, and as a result, they were automatically deleted from the shopping cart. That may not be your case. But it is a possibility.

Two words: wish list. Don't put items into a cart and then ponder whether you really want them. Put them into a wish list. I have items in mine going back to 2015. Still there.

I guess everyone has rant once in a while..... but here's a thought.... one can pray to God all day long to handle something, but if they are not willing to help God put it out of their lives... well... God can only do so much but God will never do for you something you don't want done. You should show God you want this put out of your live .... just saying.... [8-|]

First of all, thank you for your service. Our freedom isn't free, and its the men and women like you that have put your life on the line to secure it that pay the highest price, and ought to be taken care of better than we do. I say that as the grand son of two different vets, one who served in a sensitive context and came back with CPTSD before they knew what that was (and as a result ultimately cost him his family), and another who served in WW2, and spent much of his tour in a naval hospital recovering from horrible burns. I may never know the true cost of freedom, like someone who has actually served, but I've seen some of the costs first hand. So when I say thank you, its truely from the bottom of my heart.

You have been added to my prayer list, thats a lot of medical things to overcome. As to the anger situation, God created our emotions, and I'm grateful he can handle them. He won't lead us to, anything he can't get us through. You have my prayers there as well. Shoot, you can message me if you ever need to talk. I may not have the answers, but I can listen and pray.

Nope. Ive volunteered to help with public betas and so forth. Found a few bugs, suggested products, features and tweaks... some days its felt like it was a job. But no I've never worked there, and wouldn't in part because I'm a pastor, and in part because I don't want to move to the opposite end of the country from where I live and serve now.

Yes I do. I've made a number of threads over the years upset about this or that. Most of the issues aren't worth re-hashing here and now; and most of them were eventually addressed, thrice by Bob himself. They - Bob in particular - are good at handling people like me.

part of that is the contracts they have to sign and are obligated to uphold. If I gave you my word that if you sold me your products at 1$/ea, that I would require each individual to buy their own and not share it; if i then did something different it would be a lack of integrity on my part - and likely a legal liability.

Being a ministry doesn't free you from your commitments. Now I'm sure the publisher wouldn't mind if Logos charged twice as much and allowed two people to use the same resource. But that has not ever been Logos business model (not really - to those who say "but what about husbands and wives", that has been tightened down in the EULA as I recall). Though you can buy group licenses for some things now.

All any of us in ministry or otherwise as followers of Christ can do is the best we can do with what we know and have at the time. Which having been around Logos since the days when Logos came on a floppy disk, I can say is a mark they pretty consistently hit. Perfect? No. haha. No. Search my name on the forums, and you'll see my issues with Logos. But over all, from my perspective they hit the mark more than they miss. For that I'm grateful.

This has been my experience. In fact, in order not to keep getting these reminder emails, I empty the Cart by hitting the "Save for Later" button.

They have zero incentive (this is the financial economist talking) to drop items from the Cart. Unless there is some temporary glitch, I don't see it as a feature designed into the software. (An unethical company has incentives to add items to the Cart.)

It wasn't.

That is, the display on the top-right is an empty cart. Now, when I clicked on it, suddenly it became a non-empty cart ... and popped open the cart. Apparently you have to check.

Granted minor point (for the discussion). But the financial incentive isn't quite completely there.
