Creating a new highlighting style
I am trying to create a new highlighting style that permits me to insert text before a highlighted scripture. As an example, before Deuteronomy 19:1, I would like to add a caption 'Cities of Refuge' before the highlighted text. So far, all my efforts have failed. Can someone point me to a video explaining how to do this? Thank you very much!

I don't know the location of a video that covers this
https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016517891-Highlighting#Custom does provide some basic information about creating custom highlights.
For what you want, I think you need to fill in two sections in the style:
- One showing the background colour (or font styling) for the highlight you want added to the text
- The other in the Insert Text section with Cities of Refuge in the Text Before section (optionally specifying this text to appear in a capsule)
Does this give you what you need?

Thank you Dan, but I have determined what I wanted to do was not possible. Basically, I wanted to create headers above a Scripture verse like you find in Bibles, but you would have to create many, many different highlight styles to do this. Not worth the trouble.

If you want to force a line break before the verse in question, so that the text inserted becomes a header, you can use the undocumented trick described by Andrew Batishko in this thread.
But it's a pretty convoluted way to do it. I've added a feature request to create a more direct way to put newline characters into the "inserted text" in a highlighting style, in case you'd like to go vote for that: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/create-away-to-put-newline-characters-in-inserted-text-in-highlighting-styles

Actually it is possible but you are correct that with each "message text" that you want added you would have to create a different highlight.
Anyway below is where you would set this up.
