Perhaps we'll get some decent Baker Books discounts now. 😉
But we lost a valuable Lexham resource.
"Jesse [Myers] has over ten years of experience in Christian publishing, including roles in sales, marketing, and editorial, and exudes a passion for excellence. He is currently the publisher of Lexham Press and the director of original content for Faithlife, the makers of Logos Bible Software."
Maybe Baker can take over the EEC and get it movin' a bit
Why are people leaving FL? lately I’ve come across several former employees. I thought an article said it was a great place to work.

Why are people leaving FL?
Please select:
1. FL trains its people well, with many successes. Competitors poach.
2. The magic is complete. The perfect app and library. Competitors need help.
3. Bob left. They miss Bob.
4. Tight budget; no more magic.
5. Traffic on I-5.
6. The fearsome Bellingham raccoons. Enough!
7. More money?

In the OP's particular case, we have this as a theoretical possibility:
8. The mountains around Grand Rapids, Michigan are more majestic and beautiful than those around Bellingham, Washington.
Please note that I'm from an area near Mount Summit, Indiana which features neither mount nor summit, so my idea of majestic involves an elevation of 23 feet. [:)]

Poor puppy!! Outside our livingroom window across the street, is a 1,000 ft increase. Snow up there; comfy down here. And no raccoons either.
Wait, Bob left? I missed this entirely. Whose captaining this ship?
I assume you're joking? But if not, he's no longer CEO'ing. Kicked himself upstairs to board member. Vik has the handle on the rudder (Bellingham dockside).
BTW, this is a nice page: https://faithlife.com/history
There was a significant layoff ...
Why are people leaving FL? There was a significant layoff ...
Another one? I know of one a few years ago.
Another one?
Yes, Vic announced it in the forums Updates to the Faithlife Team - Logos Forums - Sean and Philana were among the layoffs.
Sean and Philana were among the layoffs.
Bummer. I hadn't heard they'd been let go. [:(]
If I worked for FL, this layoff would get my serious 'tension.
Baker needed an up-and-coming leader to take them into the future, and unfortunately for us Faithlife is a phenomenal place to develop highly desirable and valuable experience and skills.
Jesse gets the opportunity to go from leading a 30-person team within a 375-person organization to running an 84-year-old publishing house with nearly a 10x increase in responsibility. It was a great career advancement opportunity for him that likely couldn't have been available without a move outside of Faithlife.
While sad to lose such a talented leader, we're absolutely thrilled for him and for the opportunity this affords us to have an even stronger alliance with Baker.
Sounds good to me! [Y][Y]
I'd really like to see some Baker titles allowed into base packages, Jesse, if you're reading this... [;)]
But we lost a valuable Lexham resource. I don't understand this observation. Would you expand and explain? Thanks!
Jesse Myers, the new CEO of Baker Books, has been the publisher of Lexham Press (an offshoot of Faithlife).
Sean and Philana were among the layoffs. Bummer. I hadn't heard they'd been let go.

Well that sucks! I wonder what criteria goes into the chopping board process 🤔 Both Sean and Philana seemed to be on point in what their job was. I hope and pray they find another job soon. Maybe Faithlife should wait until after the holidays to do these kind of things. Hoping they got a severance package to help them while they find something else to do.

Sean appears to have already found a new job: https://www.linkedin.com/in/seanboisen/
Yep! And Philana is actively applying! Hopefully she’ll find something soon 👍
