The edit pencil does not appear for the short title until it has some content. Without the empty short title being an input box, the fact that it is an updatable field is inconsistent in its presentation.
Short title in the information panel is called abbreviated title in the library detail view. Data should have consistent names.
Alternative title in the detail view of the library appears to be missing in the information panel. Where is it used?

Good catch MJ,

I'll write up a case. It looks like it shows `short title` for any resource that has the Abbreviated title field empty. I'll write up a case for us to discuss and figure the best user friendly approach.
