Factbook question....
I admit I don't use Factbook much at all but today I decided to look up "baptism" in Factbook... and Factbook turned up many points of information about baptism.... As I perused the results... I noticed one of my resources that I use somewhat regularly was missing.... that being the "Dictionary of Bible Themes" which does have the topic "baptism" in it.
So I says "self" (my name for one of the other of my personalities) "try something else".... so I typed in holy spirit... and again the "Dictionary of Bible Themes" did not show up.... ummmm....
Am I missing something (again) or does Factbook purposely not search that book??? And is there a way to get Factbook to search that book and books like it?

Without knowing which entry for baptism (systematic theology, preaching theme.. .) and which section of the Factbook entry you are speaking of, it is somewhat foolish of me to attempt an answer. However, it sounds as if you are looking at a section which is a curated, aligned set of results not a search.

The DBT doesn't show up in Factbook for me, either. It is a very useful resource I have open in most of my layouts, so it would be good if it could be included.
The Factbook entry does, however, link to the relevant "Topic Guide," and the DBT is listed in that. So that is helpful.
The bigger question for me is, why are the Topic Guide and Factbook two different things?

Faithlife has stated their intention to align all dictionary resources. Faithlife has the characteristic of teaching its users the virtue of patience.

There are both historical reasons and functional reasons; but there have been hints that some residents of Bellingham have thought of merging the two in some sense. Note: not all residents of Bellingham are Faithlife employees so don't fallaciously accuse me of saying something I didn't say.

The Topical Guide can be customized to include collections of books we want to include in the results where the Factbook is curated. If they combine them, I would hope they would allow for customization.

I agree with the customization! Good suggestion!

Thanks for the question!
The quick answer is that we treat thematic/topical dictionaries differently from Bible/Theological dictionaries. The dictionaries section in Factbook is optimized for the latter.
I also think that the Dictionary of Bible Themes is one of the most helpful resources in Logos, so I understand why you'd want it in Factbook.
I'll see if there's a simple way we can do that.
