Looking for a conservative bible dictionary set. Is the IVP Bible Dictionaries (8 vols.) my best bet?
While those are an excellent resource, if I could have only one conservative set I would say either of these...

Get those two first if you are looking for conservative sets that are very useful.
That is known to be great bang for your buck, in terms of number of pages for the price (about 2.8 cents/page) and quality of material. Though the ISBE is also around 2.8 cents/page, BEB is about 6.8 cents/page.
All of them are included in base packages (scroll to the bottom of the product description pages), so picking up the cheapest available base package that has that in it could be an even better way to go if there's other stuff in there you'd find useful. It brings the cost of something like this WAY WAY down, especially if you already own some of the other books in the base package, so you'd get dynamic pricing.
My money is also on the IVP Bible Dictionary set, if only because they are continuing to be revised and update - the ISBE & BEB mentioned, while good, were both published in the 80's. Lots has changed in scholarship since then, which is better reflected in the current editions of the IVP.
The Zondervan Encyclopedia of the Bible (5 vols.) is another option.
