BUG? Highlighting in dark mode

I think this is a bug, although it may be intended behaviour.

I now always use Logos in dark mode.

I got a nifty highlighting palette from another user which I used for the first time today (New Year's Resolutions and all that).

The lines/images in this palette are all grey. I wanted them to be more prominent in dark mode so changed the colour to white.

However, the highlights now appeared black.

I suspected this was due to dark mode, so I tried changing the colour to black and *voila* the highlight now appears white.

Is this intended? Or it is a bug?

For me, it seems counterintuitive. But perhaps this is the way L10 navigates highlights in dark mode.

Sorry, one last question. When you say changing the color to black did you mean by editing one the highlighting options and the "border & lines" to be black rather than the grayish color it was?

Which ends up resulting in a more white prominent color.

It seems that the latest beta has fixed this issue, inasmuch as the highlights now display the selected colour.

Obviously, that's great if you stay in dark mode (with white lines etc) - not sure if you're intended to make it so that switching modes inverts the colours, or if that is even possible!?

I think most colors in markup styles are intentionally mapped to “better” colors when viewed in dark mode. Hence, black styles become white and white styles become black (or at least pretty close). Highlight backgrounds (and maybe font colors?) are the exceptions.

Here's light mode vs dark mode. Assuming, you are on the side that the text color should be more white to be more visibly seen in dark mode?
