BUG: Layout name appears only for saved layouts

to recreate:

open a QuickStart layout or a Home Page layout
note that the layout name does not appear on the top line at the left in the window
open a Saved layout
note that the layout name does appear on the top line

Expectation: layout name should always appear when a layout is in use as in example below

That would be useful together with a check mark against the layout name in the Menu.

This is currently working as intended, although I can certainly see the benefit of what you are asking for. You probably would want to add to your feature request that "update active" should also update the QuickStart/Home Page layout.

The reason why none of this works as you are expecting is that none of these are layouts in the same sense as the normal saved layouts, and that's because the QuickStart/Home Page layouts are dynamic (unless you choose to customize them).

In what sense are you using dynamic? Is it the case that the number of panels (or tabs) may change or the location of those panels may change based on some revision of Logos?

Even if that (or something like that) is the case, having the name of the layout that was recently selected would be really useful as a reminder while in use.

The exact resources that are opened may vary depending on your resource prioritization.

I agree. It sounds like a nice new feature. I'm just indicating that this isn't a bug.
