BUG?: Can't rename Layout label by right-clicking layout shortcut

I've noticed something curious:

I have custom layouts that are bookmarked on my shortcuts bar.  When I right click one of these layout icons, I get a menu that allows me to check/uncheck "show label" and also to edit the name of the label.

However, if I edit the name of the label, the old name of the layout still displays when I hover over the icon.  I can't rename the layout unless I actually go into the layouts tool.

Hence, I find this function confusing.  I don't understand why the option to edit label text in the right-click menu is somehow distinct from the Layout Name itself.  It would be nice to join these two features, i.e., have the ability to not only label, but rename through right-clicking the layout shortcut icons.

It is a shortcut, so the editing the shortcut label should do precisely that. If I follow your logic, I should be able to change the name of any book from the shortcuts bar.
