CRASH: Copy search results as URL
Windows 10
Desktop App v.22
When searching a collection through the books search, if you copy the URL link from the panel menu it will crash.

Please upload a screenshot of your Search. The logs indicate a Fuzzy Bible Search, and not a Books Search.
Provide details of the collection. and state whether the problem occurs with single resources.
I could not get a crash with either a Books Search or a Bible Search (v23 Beta on Win 11).

Thanks Dave!
It is happening with any book search I put together, collection or individual resource. It doesn't matter if there are many or no search results. As soon as I click on any of the "Copy location as" buttons I get the blue wheel and a crash.
Bible searches are doing just fine.
This is happening on both my desktop (v. 22) and my laptop (latest beta version). I'll get logs again, not sure how a fuzzy search came up when a books search crashed it?

It was in the log. I still cannot reproduce.

Hi Morgan--Thanks so much for taking the time to report this. It looks like you've stumbled upon a bug we introduced in v22 associated with the encoding of the URL when all the sections of the 'group by Library Location view' are collapsed. We encode this information into the URL even if your current view is not by Library Location, so this is likely your problem even if you're trying to copy a URL from a different view in books search.
We'll be looking at fixing the bug asap, but in the meantime, you should be able to copy the URL without crashing by following these steps:
- Run some books search that gives you results in multiple resources.
- Click on the "by Library Location" view.
- I expect that all sections in this view will initially be collapsed for you (please let me know if this isn't the case). Go ahead and expand one of the sections by clicking on it.
- Now, I believe you should be able to copy the URL without any issues, so go ahead and get into the search / view that you want and copy the URL. Let me know if after taking these steps the crash persists.
This has slipped under the radar until now because the default in the 'group by Library Location' view is to have at least one section expanded, so I guess very few users (from our reporting it looks like maybe just you and one other person) have collapsed that section and then tried exporting a URL. Very happy that you took the time to report it here. Thanks again!
