STOP the automatic e-mail notification in "forums"

Hello! I've been looking for a way to Stop e-mail Notification once you click on the link to notify you when an e-mail is posted. I now get 50+ e-mails per day which is over-whelming. I've searched this Forum for an answer and no solution found. (There may be one, but it escapes me to find it.) Will anyone reading this be so kind as to help me stop the e-mails at this ‘forums” site?

Here is what i think I did that started the whole thing off: I was at the Logos 4 FAQs (1^st one under Logos 4) and click on the top “e-Mail me when someone replies” – that started it big time….. (I think it was there or on the Logos 4 section, but that was the button I pushed.)

Go back to the posts for which you have subscribed and click the "Stop emailing replies to me" link at the top right of the webpage.

There should be a link at the bottom of each email to unsubscribe from this particular post.
OR.....

Click Edit at the top right of the screen

Click Site Options

Scroll down to EMAIL configuration, make your changes and save (at the bottom of the screen).

EDIT: Hmm... I can't make my pictures show up. hopefully the steps are good enough to help.

THANKS so much for your message! - Problem: When I send this and click for notification it showed where I could then stop receiving message about this one. HOWEVER, I then tried to find such a message for the one I did it on and can't find such. IS there a another way? Do you know of a "HELP" message on this topic? Larry

This is not yet a FAQ on the wiki.

Follow the second set of steps I gave you , and you should be able to disable all forum notifications at once.

THANKS! I did go back to an E-mail and I think I found what I needed to do and that was to EDIT the e-mail Configuration in my profile. I thought I did that before- however - I have just set it to "NO" and I’ll hope for the best. Thanks people for your help!

These Forums look like a good place to visit and utilize the sharing of information, but one needs to learn how to do it. It is obvious that I have not been involved in this type of sharing before. I own my own site that I’ve set up to help those in my church to understand Logos better. This might just be a good place to pick up more tips to share.

It is amazing how quickly one can get into trouble at one's computer, yet this mess is far better than falling into the "one click away" situation. Have a great day in Logos and it’s usage in gaining ‘wisdom’.

THANKS for ideas. I did get the e-mails to STOP by using editting profile configuration. So that is now solved!

I'll think about your comment about posting the site in my personal area. However, I'm not sure my site is worthy of the quality of users, as yourself, would be helped by it. I'm willing to share but my method of lessons is showing what Logos can do by taking their training offered by Logos and expanding them to include the details so a non-tech person could follow.

I've been teaching software since '89 and have written various instructional manuals for the classes. Thus, I tend to write with that method I've used since then. I appreciate your ready response and desire to help others via your knowledge base on this forum. Thank-you!
