L/V 10 Tip of the Day #89 Search: Match case, Match all forms, Search field
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search looking for person.Peter in Words of Christ search field vs. speaker:Jesus
The search elements in red boxes do not apply to the search for the following reason:
Dave Hooton said:person:Peter will ignore Field settings and Match settings for Case and Forms because datatype searches get their results from a dataset.
That explains why the first result on the left is not spoken by Jesus, in fact it is not even speech.
Consider voting for SUGGESTION: Simplify the Search UI by "removing" irrelevant options - Logos Forums
