I hate to be the one reporting all the bugs.  Hopefully others can confirm this.

Apparently the dropping of links to other notes & Bible Word Study when copy/pasting has now been fixed. Thank you so much!  Smile

But now, links to scripture are dropped when copy/pasting. Sad

We actually appreciate those who take the time to report the bugs -- they improve the product for everyone. Go for it!

    Hey Willy,

I believe you and probably a step I am missing in my attempt to replicate this. So far it's working for me on mac/windows when on v23.0.30 but wondering if my steps below are what you are doing. I tried a few different routes so let me know if im missing a key step.

    First Route:

I noticed you had a bible resource opened so I highlighted some text inside my bible resource (ESV) and right-clicked and chose copy reference: URL as my option.

Then went into my note and inserted a bullet point added some text "this is my scripture" and added a hyperlink to scripture with the reference URL.

Then went to a new note (tried same note too) and copy/paste into that note but my scripture link came through.

    Second route:

This one was more of a test but grabbed a url from the web and inserted that into the hyperlink section on the notes and that worked as intended. Both options I used a bullet point and even pasted the copied text inside a bullet point. I did the opposite as well just in case.

Anything I am missing to get into the state you are in?

Sorry, I was out for a while.  I guess I could have explained a little better.

    • highlight a word
    • click the link icon and type in John 3:16, then save
    • this word is now linked to a scripture reference
    • copy and paste this word and the link is dropped

If anyone can replicate this, please say so.  I want to know that I am not going crazy.  :)

Yes I can replicate. Autodetected bible verse links will stay (or be detected anew after being pasted in), but chain-linked links will be dropped.

edit: interestingly, when I don't let the chain-link button detect my bible reference, but put it there in the button's input field in URL / ref.ly-format, the link will be retained. Maybe the dropped links use the old L4-format internally?
