Why does Logos keep asking me to sign in!!!

Recently when I open Logos it asks me to sign in to my Faithlife account. This even though I have several web pages open in my account at the time. Since I never remember my various passwords I have to locate and open my "secret" password file, look up the PW, then enter it finally.

It may sound small, but it's quite annoying - it's happened 3 times this week, but never before.

Agree! I get asked to Login at times, but I suspect it is because I have multiple installations of Logos (which is OK) and FL wants to be sure that this installation is valid! Apparently random, but not as frequent as 3 times in a week.

For clarification: Signing in to the desktop app has absolutely no relationship to signing in to the website. In other words, the desktop app does not "See" (and should not!) that you have a web browser open and are signed in to Faithlife.

Dave is more knowledgeable than I am about why this might be happening. His own experience and explanation, however, is not "normal" usage.

Dave: Would logs help in this situation? I know it might be tricky to get them.

If I try really hard, I find I can be signed into Logos with account1, Verbum with account2, FL with account3, and Lexham with account4. Noet has gone away and these sign ins have no connection with the Desktop App. I can be signed in with one browser with one account and another browser with another account. I can understand why FL wants to know and ensure who's there?

I agree it is not "normal" usage but I will check the log next time. One has to permanently enable logging for this and must save the logs before the next login.

This concerns me because what happens when the internet is down or I don’t have a connection. I have invested lots and lots of money in my library and could lose access.

It is only triggered when online. You can continue working if the internet goes down, or restart with CTRL key held to work offline.
