Is it Possible to get a Shared Link to open the Desktop App

The links that I share with friends from Logos will direct to the web app. Is there a way to get a link to direct to the desktop app instead?
Here is an example of shared link.

This link is to a website. Within logos, you can use a logosres link (first one). I believe that the second link will take you to the desktop app.
- logosres:becnt65ac;ref=Bible.Ac6.3;off=114
- https://ref.ly/logosres/becnt65ac?ref=Bible.Ac6.3&off=114

Here is an example of shared link.
THE VARIOUS POSITIONS OF THE ARK
The direct L4 link from the desktop app is logosres:hndflsprpssl;ref=VolumePage.V_2,_p_106 e.g. click VARIOUS POSITIONS OF THE ARK
It will work if you share the address in a browser (as above), Word, or Outlook email. If it does not work you have to use the URL link: https://ref.ly/logosres/hndflsprpssl?ref=VolumePage.V+2%2c+p+106 which goes to a web page first.

This is nomenclature in the UI that needs to change. I can understand having an "L4" folder on my hard drive because of backward compatibility, but I'm thinking the "L4" label in the Copy Location as could be updated.

Thank you for the response.
I got the biblia.com link by right clicking on the title "The Various Positions of the Ark" and choosing the email option from the options.
Where did you get these two links?
- logosres:becnt65ac;ref=Bible.Ac6.3;off=114
- https://ref.ly/logosres/becnt65ac?ref=Bible.Ac6.3&off=114
Thanks again!

Got the answer...
I found this help topic:
https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022299852-How-do-I-create-links-to-content-in-Logos-
Looks like the URL option is the best one. I don't quite understand what the L4 is? I text the L4 to myself but it doesn't create any kind of clickable link.

Because you have to create a hyperlink using that as the address e.g. select some text (e.g. See this wiki, below) and paste the L4 address into the Insert/Edit link box of the Forum. See this wiki.
I gave the example above where logosres:hndflsprpssl;ref=VolumePage.V_2,_p_106 was used to create the hyperlink VARIOUS POSITIONS OF THE ARK.

Thank you, Dave!
How do you get that specific type of link when in the Desktop app?

The L4 link is being deprecated in Logos, but:
The old resource toolbar (non-subscription users) is unchanged as far as I know, so you still use L4.
Subscription users choose Share > Copy link in the new Resource toolbar (equivalent to URL), but non-resource panels still have the L4 link in their menu.

So far, no one has mentioned the trick to do this. This is all done using ALT+F9 when using Windows. I don't know how it is done on a Mac.
Here's an example:
"The sixth commandment (Exodus 20:13) prohibits the taking of another human life."
Using ALT+F9 it looks like this; "https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.Ex20.13"
Should this link work here on the Forum, you will wind up at https://biblia.com/bible/exodus/20/13.
Before using ALT+F9 you will wind up at the desktop app as in the following example:
"The whole of this discussion (Matthew 6:1–18) can be summed up in this question: “Who’s your primary audience?”"
When using ALT+F9 this link looks like this: "https://ref.ly/logosres/nlt?ref=BibleNLT.Mt6.1-18."
Here's how I do it. It may look complicated but after a while it's accomplished by "muscle memory."
LOGOS software will do the heavy lifting. Opening a favorite Bible I simply highlight the full reference in the reference box, then using my keyboard I simultaneously press CTRL+ALT+C, highlight where I want the link in my document, tap CTRL+K to make the link, then tap SHIFT+INSERT (same as CTRL+V) in the provided box, click OK. And there you have it.
Supposing I want my reader to link to his preferred Bible (or any reference) rather than what I'm using I use a SEARCH and REPLACE (after pressing ALT+F9) like this:
SEARCH FOR ALL INSTANCES OF:
https://ref.ly/logosres:nlt;ref=BibleNLT.
https://ref.ly/logosres/nlt?ref=BibleNLT.REPLACE WITH:
https://ref.ly/logosref/Bible.
If I am not mistaken this works with any reference that can be edited to suit your purposes.Hope this helps.
God bless

I don't understand how you "use" ALT+F9 on the quoted text, and it is not a Windows keyboard shortcut for Logos.

That is standard for most hyperlinks (except for the SHIFT+INSERT). For Bible references I prefer:
- select the text for the link in my document e.g. in a clipping
- click on the chain-link icon in the edit toolbar (same as CTRL+K), then
- type Mt6.1-18 (or any equivalent bible expression)
- tap Enter

Hi Dave... I didn't expect anyone to comment so I wandered off for a few days. heh... The ALT+F9 is a MS Word function. I can see in my original post where I left a ---- out when talking about that function. My apologies!
Thanks for the extra hints!
