Didn't I read somewhere there's a way to integrate old LLS 2.x resources into L4? If so, what's the easiest way to do that? Insert my old LLS 2.x CD's and type in "Scan E:\" from the Command Bar?
Thanks!
That's correct, assuming your license files include the 2.x licenses. If they don't you either have to call customer service and give them your codes, or go through the rigmarole of installing 2 then 3 and syncing then starting L4.
That should work provided your L3 licence was synchronised with these titles; otherwise you will have to install LLs 2.x & L3 and then synchronise.
Welcome back to the Forums Nathan. It has been a while since we heard from you.
Thanks guys! Yeah, they were synced with L3 way back when, so that's good news. I'll insert my CD's here in a little bit and do it. There's only a few resources under LLS 2.x I have, most did get upgraded to Libronix way back when.
A couple more questions:
Will the books automatically sync over to L4 on my Mac, or do I also need to insert the CD's and copy them over manually?
Did Logos for Mac 1 ever get LLS 2.x functionality, or did it never make it?
BTW Lynden, yeah, I've been around, just been posting at a minimum. Have had so many projects going on. Been doing more reading and less posting. Been enjoying all the Mac updates!
Thanks again everyone!
Repeat manually for other platforms/installations. The Sync feature is responsible for documents & settings only; resources would automatically have been downloaded from the server if they were in L3 or L4 format (or automatically copied from an L3 installation).

Excellent! Got it all done! Is there any feedback you're supposed to get when it happens? When I ran it, it didn't do anything except the sync arrows did another sync. Does it just all happen in the background or is something supposed to come up?

Are the titles in your Library? Was there a little blue icon doing some indexing?

Didn't see the blue icon. I can't tell 100%. I think now that I've run it all of my LLS 2.x resources that were of any importance were already converted over to Libronix format. I think all that was left was some old LLS 2.x manuals, which if that's the case, no biggie...

You can check your \Resources folder in \Logos4 for *.lsf/*.lix files and type the file name into the Command box so see what title it is!

Sounds great! Will do! Thanks so much everyone for your help!
