Custom Reading Plan Question

I'm trying to create a Bible Reading Plan with an every other day function. Is this possible? i.e.

Day 1: 1 reading from the OT, 1 reading from Psalms, 1 reading from the NT

Day 2: 1 reading from the OT, 1 reading from Proverbs, 1 reading from the NT

...etc.

So I can do Psalms and Proverbs every other day.

I think it would need to be two separate plans.

Was this what you had in mind?

It is a Custom Plan generated from 4 conventional plans and extends over 374 days @ 4 chapters/day. The OT dictates the length as you have 748 chapters without Psalms and Proverbs. Proverbs will be read 6 times and Ps 1-37 will be read twice. The Gospels and Acts 1-25 will also be read twice. You can vary how the OT is read as this plan goes Gen - 2 Chron 7, 2 Chron 8 - Mal (omitting Ps and Pr).

The plan uses other plans? From my comment above, you would build plan A, then build plan B, and then build plan C where it uses plan A&B?

Plan A - OT excl. Ps/Pr over 374 sessions e.g. Gen-2 Chron 7 | 2 Chron 8-Job, Eccl-Mal or Gen-Job,Eccl-Mal
Plan B - Ps,Ps 1-37 over 373 sessions
Plan C - Pr,Pr,Pr,Pr,Pr,Pr over 371 sessions
Plan D - NT over 374 sessions e.g. Mt-Rev,Mt-Jn,Acts 1-25

Then a Custom Plan importing (via Add) the above with Plan C starting 1 day later than the other Plans.

You could combine Plan A and Plan D, but that would affect the order of the daily readings.

Thank you, that answered my question.

For future use, I set up four reading plans (a further complication for me is that I want the reading plan to be 6 days a week, not 7):

1. OT (Gen-Job, Ecc-Mal), six days a week, starting on the day I want to begin the plan (say, tomorrow) and ending when I want the plan to be over (say, December 31)

2. Proverbs (M/W/F), starting tomorrow and ending on Dec 31

3. Psalms (S/T/Th), starting tomorrow and ending on Dec 31

4. NT

Then, I created a Custom Plan. I added the OT, starting tomorrow; then Proverbs starting tomorrow (if the day I want to begin is M/W/F, otherwise switch this with Psalms); then Psalms starting in two days; then the NT, starting tomorrow.

Well done. So you only read Psalms/Proverbs and NT once (by Default) whilst you read OT by Chapter?

Not sure I'm following your distinction -- they are all set to be read by "Default" and to finish up on the same date at the end of the year. And I am reading through each only once.

"Chapter" is another choice on that button. "Default" may choose chapters and/or passages.
