Windows installed an update 3 days ago and now I can't load the L4 software. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Must I reinstall the software? If so, how do I do that?

I had the same issue this morning. MY Win 7 system updated last night and this morning L4 would not start. I was abel to get it to start by runing Logos4.msi in the following directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Logos4\Install\Installers When I ran I was asked if I wanted to repair or install. I repaired, took only a couple of seconds and then Logos 4 started up and downloaded a new update. Everything seems fine now.

One additional note, I am now downloading my entire library again. 4.16 gig. It is going to be a long day preparing tomorrows sermon!

You might try the msi Repair option mentioned above. Otherwise follow the steps at http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_Not_Starting (upload logs if it does not work).
I had the same issue as well and I found a post how to start L4 without any layouts (http://community.logos.com/forums/p/11097/86837.aspx#86837). I restarted while holding down the "CONTROL" key and selected "USE BLANK LAYOUT". L4 started with no resources open. I then went to the layouts and opened one up from a previous day and it worked. It seems that a layout gets scrambled and doesn't let L4 start properly (a guess on my part based on my solution)
