B6: Sync Mac w/ Windows?

I am now using the Mac Beta6 for my day to day work. (Thanks Mac Team!)

I noticed that when I open the Windows version (to let it check for updates, etc. -- maybe once a week or so) that the layout window is not syncing with what I have on the Mac side (open bibles & resources, etc.).

Is this due to the Beta status of the Mac version or should this be working?

Do you need my logs? (I know how to send Mac logs... how do I send Windows log files?)

I've had sync issues between L4 Mac and L4 Windows in regard to the shortcut bar. No resolution as of yet.

Named layouts do sync between Mac and Windows - can use Sync Now command to sync named layouts with Logos internet servers.

Snapshot Layouts (with time) are not sync'd - can click pencil, then type name for layout.

So, if I have resources open on the Mac and I switch to Winblows, I'll have to open them and retype the verse ref, etc.?

It ain't necessarily so... [:D]

But in order to get your open (Mac) layout to sync with windows you will need to.

Open Layouts

Force an update of your current layout if it has not already been the subject of a snapshot.

Name that layout by clicking on the pencil and giving it a name.

Ensuring that the sync takes place and finishes before you close the program.

Then when you move to your Windows machine the new named layout should be available.

I know.... (have sync'd in both directions several times)

On Mac, use Layouts menu to name (or update) layout - includes resource location on screen and reference

Sync Now - copies named layout information to Logos Internet servers - arrows spin while sync in progress

After sync done, switch to Windows, Sync Now (arrows spin) - copies named layout information from Logos Internet servers to PC

After sync done, click layouts to display list, then click desired named layout - opens resources to references when layout named or updated

Likewise can name (or update) layout on Windows, Sync with Logos, switch to Mac, Sync with Logos, open layout
