Nice poem but 2 serious questions
1. Given that much of Factbook is the same material as the Guides, why do you dislike Factbook? I understand frustration at its incompleteness. I also understand having a preference for getting the material in Guide or Search format. What I don't understand is the dislike of Factbook.
2. Factbook only turns up if you ask for it. Where are you seeing it that is in your way? We may be able to help it stay away. I actually see it very rarely because little of what I do could be done via Factbook.

Amen and Amen and AMEN! I've asked in more than one forum.... how do I turn Factbook completely off??? I find it to be like MS Edge used to be.... it was thrust upon you and the attitude was ... you're gonna get it whether you like it or not... I find Logos doing Factbook the same way!!
Let me decide when I want to use it.... don't make me use it!
I find it to be more of someone's subjective or preconceived way of looking for something and generally not the way I want to look for something.

Do you know how to completely stop it from coming up? It's a bother.

When yoy say "coming up" what do you mean?
I recognise it will appear in options in the command box, and options in the context menu, but so will a range of other things and they can be ignored and only the options you want selected.
So I'm trying to understand exactly where you see it appearing that causes the bother.

Much of the data presented in Factbook/Guides is not accurately accessible via the search. Other portions are available through the search only as raw data that requires manipulation before being useful. In my mind, the Factbook and Guide are parallels for which you "hate" both or use the one of your choice. The "see also" section is the only thing that I go to Factbook for over a Guide; there are several guide sections not available in Factbook and many subjects in Factbook that are available in Guides. So I tend to have a lot of "whatever is quickest from what is open" choices.

I'm on the Settings: Show_Factbook=NO team.
But that said (and not arguing/disagreeing):
- I don't see any hint of a Factbook in my right-click context menu (except add a FB-tag). I'm probably blind.
- I'm afraid to even touch the big Factbook icon, for fear it will ruin my Command Box choice sequence. The logic there has to be the most abysmal I've ever had the opportunity to observe.
- And finally, I think the Factbook is a great intro for new users, and maybe casual-use users. Just not me; theologically against it (if that's even possible).
EDIT: I just remembered. Logos doesn't know how to do Factbook lookups (the word has to be tagged>FB). Pity the day when they wake it up.

Don't worry, it won't. The Command Box choice sequence is only impacted by choices you make in the Command Box itself.

Both Settings and Factbook are a part of the Tools group in the Command Box. So if you use the Command Box to change settings, it will cause the Tools group to be prioritized, which by default means that the Factbook is prioritized, even if one NEVER uses the Command Box to open the Factbook (like I never do).
My suggestion would be to give Settings its own Command Box group to separate it from the Tools group. Then, when people use the Command Box to change a setting, it doesn't cause the Factbook to be pushed to the top of the list. Once I understood this behavior in the software--see Andrew's comments on this thread--I was a lot less frustrated. But it would still be ideal if using the Command Box simply to change a setting didn't result in the Factbook being forced to the top of the list.

If we're collecting opinions, let me state that I like the Factbook, and I don't think it's ever gotten in my way. I don't recall it ever opening except for when I've deliberately clicked on it.

I sometimes open it by accident instead of the Bible because the icons look similar. I wish I could reorder the icons so that I could separate the Bible and Factbook icons.

Sounds good. Also, I believe I saw someone post that FB has it's own tagging system. If that is the case, I wonder, would it be possible for me as a user to be able to put things I tag into FB? Kind of like, FB would read a "user tagging of things"?

Yes - I don't know if it will do what you are looking for
Basically we can add tags to articles / books that haven't been tagged by Faithlife and link words or phrases to Factbook articles. This is outlined at https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/8942695497229-Factbook-Tags

No, it uses the same tags as are used in your other resources with the same definitions. Users have been able to tag things so that they appear in Factbook since 2014. The system was renamed and modified last year. In the initial implementation users were able to add tags not in the Logos controlled vocabulary. This feature was lost when Google stopped supporting the underlying database.

Not the same thing. What I was referring to is.... Say I create a bunch of tags about a topic..... and designate them a certain way such that FB could recognize them and use them.

I would love for this to be added. Factbook is always popping up, makes it difficult to read the Bible. It is always in the way. VERY annoying!0

You can control this through the Factbook filter icon on the resource panel tool bar. The icon has a check mark.

Can anyone help me understand
using Facebook on the computer... the little side bar showing the list of categories its very helpful
is there a way to display this in the mobile app?
I can only type a word then click if it shows.

At the top of your Bible is a Factbook visual filter button, click it once to turn the feature off, click it again to turn it back on.
