How does intersects work?

I copied this from another post of mine:
INTERSECT has a very specific use. A word must be tagged with both parts of the search. If you right-click on "resurrection" in Romans 1:4 you'll see that it is tagged with both resurrection and Jesus.
Searching for person:Jesus INTERSECTS sense:resurrection will only return this verse. You'll get much better results using AND instead of INTERSECTS.
If you want every place Paul writes about the resurrection, you'll have to limit the search area to Pauline epistles to get any meaningful results. Logos allows speaker:Paul and person:Paul but not writer:Paul.

How do I search for the ways Paul interesects Justification in the NIV 2011?
Your query seems to be about Paul and Justification in the NIV yet you assume a particular search technique that may or may not be applicable.
In response to the former:
- type "Justification" in Factbook and choose the Preaching Theme
- at the bottom, click on Search for “Justification”
- change the All search to a Bible search and limit the range to books written by Paul i.e. Pauline Epistles
A simpler Search would be for justify OR topic:Justification with "Match all forms".
