Copy and paste WITH citation

I'm the opposite of the most recent posts I've found.  For resources like my commentaries, I have the settings to copy citations.  But it is never coming through.  I am just getting the quoted text itself.  I'm running 24.0.14 on a Macbook Pro running Ventura 13.1

what is the value in the related program settings?

Note there is a minimum length of the copied text to generate a citation e.g. a single word will not.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I'm sorry.  I should have included that information.  It is as show.  I've even tried turning that on and off, and it stays not working.

Does it not work for all books or is it limited to eBooks, for example, or books without page numbers? what citation style are you using? can you give a title for which it fails? Can you paste a quotation from that book into your forum post?

It is on everything it seems.  In particular I was sharing something from

Jennings, Willie James. Acts. Edited by Amy Plantinga Pauw and William C. Placher. First edition. Belief: A Theological Commentary on the Bible. Louisville, KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2017.

On a random sample from Jennings, I get

The book of Acts beckons us to a life-giving historical consciousness that senses being in the midst of time that is both past and present and that pulls us toward a future with God in the new creation. That future with God, however, does not discount the now, the present moment.

    What do you get?

That future with God, however, does not discount the now, the present moment. This is the work of the Spirit, who relishes each moment with us, never discounting our time and never treating the time of creation and each creature as inconsequential time. The book of Acts reveals the Spirit, who joins us in time, sharing our spaces and partaking in the places we inhabit as places fit for divine activity.

What citation style have you chosen? Mine is Chicago

    MJ

My settings are also as shown in your picture above. It seems to happen it all resources. When I copy the Lexham Geographic Commentary on the Gospels it does not do cite.

The ancient village of Bethlehem was located five miles (eight km) south of Jerusalem, one half mile (0.8 km) east of the watershed at the end of a short, narrow spur of chalky limestone angling southeastward. Its elevation, at just over 2500 feet (762 m).

Why is this? I have not tried restarting Logos and it says I need updates. 24.0.13. I am not sure.

Mine was on SBL so I switched to Chicago and still the same results.

Okay, none of my three testable ideas for possible causes pan out. I fear logs and FL will have to step in as I can't test my next probable cause.

Welcome to the forums. You need to start a new thread if you are going to get an answer. It would also help if you provided the platform you are running on and the version of Logos you are running. The first thing to check is that your program settings are set to include the citation.
