Logos 3 files into logos 4

I have specific resources for my denomination that are only available on cd and have to be installed into logos three and then scanned for in logos 4 to see them. Also I now have sermon file Add In and would like to use logos 4 on my laptop. Would logos 4 on my laptop see all my above mentioned resources on the laptop even if I didn't have logos 3 installed ?

No! If L3 is not installed you have to use Scan for locations outside Logos4 (either way those resources end up in your Logos4 \Resources folder provided the licences were synchronised previously in L3).

If Garry had installed the cd's on his desktop with L3 and L4 had seen them and updated them.....Then the L4 Logos on the laptop would automatically see them and download them as well? I did this with a denomination specific resource. I installed in L3.....updated with the server....L4 downloaded the file.....Next....My laptop L4 only got resource when I opened L4.

Correct - my mistake! Once made known to L4 resources should be automatically downloaded to all your installations. If it doesn't happen for some reason then a manual scan should do the job eg. I'm not sure that an updated Sermon file would be recognised.

I'm fairly certain that early on we were told we could update the file in L3 and reimport to update the sermon file.

You are correct MJ. If you recompile your Sermon Addin Resource in L3, L4 will recognize the resouce has been updated and pull across the update file. If Logos 4 is running at the time a restart of Logos 4 is required. I tried it just now. Create a new sermon file document, compiled the resource. Shut down L3, and then shutdown L4. Upon restart of L4, it said there was an update to download. After 'downloading' the update I restarted Logos 4 and the updated sermon resource including the newly added sermon was available for use.
