Pasting from Logos to Microsoft Word on a Mac

I am currently in the market for the Logos X Bible software program. I have Apple products (iMac, Mac mini, iPad and iPhone). Installed on my Mac computers are Microsoft Office programs.

On my Mac computers, I would like to paste from Logos into Word without leaving Word. Is this possible? Is there a macro for this? Or is there something equivalent?

Hi John and welcome to the forums.

It is, as I understand it possible to type a reference into word eg John 3:16 and have it expand to show the full text of the verse.

I imagine that this only works for your highest prioritised Bible.

I cannot imagine how you would copy from other resources or books without highlighting the text in the Logos itself.

My apologies for not knowing if "Replace with Passage" text service is allowed by Microsoft Office (verified LibreOffice does not allow macOS text service to be used in a Writer document).

Logos & Verbum have "Replace with Passage" text service, whose keyboard shortcuts can be user modified so selected Bible reference can be quickly replaced with passage text.

Two examples below have abbreviated Bible reference (usable in Logos & Verbum for navigation, ...) followed by "Replace with Passage" text from highest prioritized Bible using formatting specified in Copy Bible Verses:

pr 3.5-6

Proverbs 3:5–6 (LEB)

5 ⌊Trust Yahweh⌋ with all your heart;

do not lean toward your own understanding.

6 In all your ways acknowledge him,

and he will straighten your paths.

php 4.4-9

Philippians 4:4–9 (LEB)
