BUG? 'Bible text only' drops YHWH

So, I noticed while reading Obadiah with the visual filter, 'Bible text only', on, that all the "LORD"s/"YHWH"s get changed to "Lord"/"Adonai" when this filter is on. This seems like a significant error, as it constitutes a serious change to what the text actually says.

Thanks for pointing that out - and I can see the logic behind that. However, it is also a translation issue, IMO.

I can't tell which NIV Jordan is using. But the NIV 1984 certainly has problems. In the example, I have 'Bible Text Only' all on, for both examples (sub-choices all checked). 1984 lost his book name (shows if you turn BTO off), references disappear (again show if BTO off), and the strange prose phrase shifted far-right. Just playing with it, the Non-Bible-Text runs counter to the One-Verse-Only setting (as an example).

This happens because (as Graham suggested) the intent of the formatting filter is to remove all text formatting, and small caps fits into that category. That said, I can see why this can be considered a problem. I recommend adding your suggestion to https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app

I first read this post and thought that Logos added the feature to be able to change the OT ‘LORD’s to Yahweh! I almost jumped out of my seat for joy! But alas.. this post is not quite as joyous an occasion..

Reverse Interlinear option is Visual Filter to insert Hebrew Names (also could reduce 'Lord' font size & change font color)

Ah yes I've dabbled in this KS. Wish there was one that would not leave the 'LORD's in place, but totally replace them. I've also tried one that makes the original text white so that the 'LORD's become blank spaces (and dark mode is problematic) - but it makes for some funky gaps in the text and would be amazing if it could have a total overhaul.
