Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

This tip is inspired by the forum posts: various

Help and Training part 1 dealt with the three forms of help available from application menu. In part 2 we explore the help controlled by Program Settings. In part 3 we looked at help accessed via the panel menu. This final part is odds and ends ... if I've left something out, please add a comment to this post.

The section header for the Guides contains a question mark on which hover shows a preview and click opens Help to the appropriate section. Parts of Help still need to be rewritten to improve the hover preview.

The Explore section of the Home Page may be configured to show training articles drawn from the blog.

The Verbum store home page includes a support section referring you primarily to training.

On the Verbum store training page, "join the community" links you to the forums.

The Logos store front is organized a bit differently with support and community both showing in the more tab.

Either Verbum or Logos will get you to the same forums.

I personally believe that the forums should be easily accessible from the application itself.

There is a user maintained wiki with details instructions not available elsewhere. This is also where release notes from Faithlife are stored.

Faithlife offers in person labs, webinars, and other training materials for Logos; Verbum's primary educational tool is videos by Catholic priests -- more process oriented than the Logos more feature oriented training.

The long term official trainer for Faithlife, Morris Proctor died recently. His training company continues with his resources

.

There are other popular trainers available online - including personal tutoring.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
