Bug: Black Squares in iPad Bible Selection

See screenshot below. To me, it looks like a mistake. The problem is most pronounced on iPad because of the larger display. It is not noticeable on a phone because you only ever see one column.

I think this changed about 6 months ago, but I'm not sure.
